Ex-GUNS N' ROSES Band To Perform At Milwaukee's SUMMERFEST?
May 31, 2003The new band featuring former GUNS N' ROSES members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum is reportedly looking into doing several one-off gigs this summer, including a possible appearance at Milwaukee's Summerfest (web site) between June 26 and July 6. According to Slash's Official Fan Site (www.snakepit.org),the band "have no confirmed singer, so it's a time to wait and see. We have no idea if they would come with a temporary singer (as they did with CYPRESS HILL on the 'Kimmel' show) or if it has to be the permanent singer. So, wait and see. Right now [a Summerfest appearance] is not [officially] on, but 'possibly' is a good word."
As previously reported, the band formerly known as "THE PROJECT" recently teamed up with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS frontman Scott Weiland to contribute a cover of PINK FLOYD's "Money" to the soundtrack of director F. Gary Gray's remake of the 1969 British crime comedy "The Italian Job". The group also recorded an original cut called "Set Me Free", which is slated to appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming film adaptation of "The Hulk", due in stores on June 17 through Decca/UMG.
